I'm there with ya - a nice lightly fried schnitzel is hard to beat. But I hate them when they're thick, heavily breaded and greasy.

Nope - all of my relatives are Germans, no Frenchies. Germans do have some odd foods, but I stay away from them. Hated the foods my grandmothers made and some that my mother made. Nasty shit.

I've been wearing Dainese 4 Stroke gloves for a few years now - on my 3rd pair. I started with them as there were available in a 3XL for my big hands. Stayed with them as they fit great, are comfy and last a long time. Like most things Dainese,. they ain't exactly cheap, but I feel they're worth it.

It gets down to 35F (1C) in the summer here; usually around 4:00 AM . But will be interesting to see. A 50-60 degree change (in F) in one day isn't unusual.

Not here. Normally, there are around 12-15 players to a team in USA high school basketball. Our school has 7 players. Three of which don't really wanna be there and 2 that can actually play and / or shoot. The opposing teams are from very small towns as well and are in a similar situation with players. Can barely field enough guys to complete a team.

Basketball tournament at the local school this weekend and I have building duty all weekend. So I guess I'll be watching a lot of basketball?

Well, my wife had to drive us home, so no drinks for her. Her two friends weren't drinking for some unknown reason so that left me.

It's kinda odd when no one else at the table is drinking and you're sitting there on your fifth beer during dinner. Makes ya look like a drunk as it is.?

Mexican restaurant - that's all they had!

It was a nice building, but the food was kinda crap. Check out all of the tap handles at the bar - this is only 1/2 of them as the other side of the bar has just as many. 100+ beers on tap. So I wasn't really there for the food anyway?

Only had two beers at dinner last night. Trying to cut down, ya know....

Started off with a small plate of nachos and then the wife had shrimp tacos....

Almost 20C and sunny in Denver today; we sat at a local and had a late lunch. No social distancing here - bar was full as were the tables. Overhead doors were all wide open and it felt great - just like summer...

You could soak that shit in sugar water and beer and it'd still suck! Smells of poo as well.

Minnesota, Iowa and Wisconsin are about the only areas of the USA where you'll find lutefisk. These are the areas that the Scandinavian immigrants moved to years ago so they have Lutefisk. I lived in northern Iowa as a kid and lots of the Iowa-wegian (what we called them) restaurants had it on the menu. That shit is foul ! Can't believe anyone can eat that shit. My parents (children of German immigrants) would eat it, but I never went near it.

The wife had a braised short rib with some kind of crunchy stuff (shaved almonds maybe?) on top with a brown sauce / gravy on it. Mashed potato are underneath with some asparagus on the side. Oh, and another Stella for me.
