  1. A few more for Pedro..... Started off with an appetizer of Stella this evening and followed it with some sort of Kung Pao dish with chicken. Basically veggies, chicken and rice.....

    Memories

Seems like yesterday. I've been planning the shit outta next summer's rides for something to do. All of this planning and routing and I know I'll end up tossing it all away and do something completely different....
  3. I have to use facefuck for work related stuff in my shop. But I don't post political shit, personal stuff or the like. Hell, I don't even use my real name. It's a necessary evil. Have always liked the format of Forums better - easier to post pics of rides, etc.

    I am slow

I forgot about that - and it was like 25 years ago. I was on a '93 or a '95 CBR900RR. BRP is pretty much 45 all along the whole thing. Way too low for the quality of the road if ya ask me.

    I am slow

I'll admit it - I ride like my hair is on fire and my ass is catchin'. Rarely do less than 85 / 90 mph on motorways and 10-15 mph over on other roads. Yet, I have never had a speeding ticket on a motorcycle in over 400,000 miles or so of riding. Dunno why, just dumb luck, I guess. Got pulled for 61 mph in a 55 zone last summer - no ticket, just talked to the Trooper for a bit.....
  6. At least it wasn't wasted then.
  7. June or July - height of the tourist season. I cross the Park (to get to the other side) early in the mornings when I have to. It's not too bad then. The western side of the Park has little or no traffic - only the east side does as it's closer to a town (Estes Park, CO). Western portal of the Park empties into a barren area devoid of towns.
  8. Admit it, you've got the hots for Lou Bunch, don't ya?
  9. Ahhh Madam Lou, she sure was a looker. She's buried on the hill above town now...
  10. I remember this guy; he wasn't dressed up for the day, he was just in town from the ranches for the fun. He fit right in!
  11. We humped back to my house and then into Central City for the annual Madam Lou Bunch Bed Races. Lou Bunch was a famous whore in the area back in the gold rush days. So now we celebrate her by having women dress up like whores and push them down the street in beds. Weird, I'll give ya that - but raises some cash for charity and is an excuse for day drinking on the streets...
  12. Obligatory rider lying in the snow pics....
  13. I rarely go through the Park unless I have visiting friends with me that want to. It usually has loads of traffic crawling at 15 mph and few passing zones....
  14. Pretty good scenery in the Park, once you get past the cheeky tourists....
  15. I hate it when people post rides that aren't very current. But due ti the current weather conditions, it's all I can do. So here's a lap of RMNP from 2 years ago. Did the ride with my buddy from Ireland, Aidan Brown. He sadly passed away in a bike accident in Ireland shortly after this trip.....
  16. Things are opening up here; indoor dining AT 50% capacity, bars are semi - knda open if they have food, There never have been any travel restrictions . Pretty much back to normal for me and the wife's 30% pay cut will end on Feb 1st so she'll be back to 100%.
  17. Colder than a well digger's ass here this weekend. I think I'll sit home and hibernate (again) all weekend.
  18. I'd bathe in that! Love tortilla soup!
  19. Yes, it's an old wood framed building from ca. 1850 that they gutted and made into a bar / restaurant. Nice place but cold as fuck in there! Heating doesn't quite do the job so ya have to eat and drink with your coat on.
  20. Tonight we head over to a pub in the adjacent town of Idaho Springs, Colorado for dinner. Pretty normal fare for here; wife had a salad with some kind of Buffalo chicken on it and i opted for a wood fired pizza (pepperoni) and a few Stella's. Lots of leftover pizza for tomorrow's lunch....
