I drive a 4 WD Ford F150 pick up truck - it's high enough to clear most snow and can get through 24" snow easily enough. Much more than that and it "floats" on top of the snow as the snow packs up underneath it and lifts the wheels up. But it doesn't snow that much very often. 15" of snow is no problem at all. Snowmobiles / snow machines don't interest me too much. It'd be fun but not worth the money required.

Hasn't been above 0C in weeks - although today is supposed to be really warm. But we have 75 mph winds today as well - I just can't win? I may have to toss the bike in the truck and head to Mexico soon to ride.

I haven't ridden since September?. Hope to get out in May though.

That Water Tower home looks cool - would love to see it inside. Nice pics!

Hello Skyrider and welcome! No new ride reports from me for awhile - it's a bit cloudy and -17C here today. So I probably won't get out today...

An absolute turd - worst bike I ever owned.

Athens, Ohio ? I was born in Athens! I graduated from OU ! Hard to believe another Bobcat is on here. Welcome! edit: Not a bad area to ride for those that haven't been down that way...

Looks like a bight , crisp day - my favorite. A balmy -8C here today, no Sun and a bit of snow - I'll trade ya

Drive across Texas some time to see some high school football stadiums - theirs are freakin' huge! Seating nearly 20,000 people. For freakin' high school! Allen, Texas High stadium.....

It's a big field for 8 man football (it's what smaller schools here play). No viewing stands as no one ever goes to the games, etc. Some years they don't even have a team as they can't get enough kids to play, The whole team only has 10 players on it (regular school have 40+ players per team). But it is a nice field. Fake grass as regular grass doesn't grow up here.

Today's work was decent; I work one day a week at the school to help out in the maintenance department. Today we re-roofed one of the concession stands at the football field after the wind blew the roof off, (we have lots of 75-100 mph winds up here in the winter). It was a really cheap style of roofing as well. Sunny and 20F (-7C) out so it wasn't too bad....

That was a great collection of pics!

Same here - 40+ years so far. I feel like I was cheated out of getting stabbed, jamrags on the floor and other such fun. Can I apply for a refund somewhere? -
No - mainly as there were no dealers for them; so no parts, spares, etc. They would have cost a fortune if they were available.

We changed all of the forks internal valving, much stiffer springs and did the same with the shock - so it was pretty dialed in as far as suspension goes. The motor was the only let down as it didn't rev out much and got kinda flat in the top end. Thought I was tap dancing with as much shifting as I had to do to keep it in the power. Two years after this, I began racing a Yamaha YZF400F - the first modern era production four stroke MX bike. It had a great powerband and would rev to the Moon. Could do a whole race in 3rd and 4th gears.

Check out the icy beer foam at the top - heaven! Mexican food tends to look like slop on a plate - all running together with a lot going on. Just the way it is. But it does taste pretty good.

I had the loudest and biggest bike - so that was the fun part for me!

My next bike

The thing got great holeshots and launched into the first turn faster than most of the 250's, but even with the motor work, it lacked the top end punch it needed.....

Some old pics of my XR450 from back in the day. These are from 1996 when my XR400 was punched out to a 450. larger TM carb added, high compression piston, HRC cam and much upgraded suspension. I raced in the 250-A class with it. The bike was still a bit lardy and took some muscle to throw it around, but I wasn't a small lad, either...

Wife had some weird assed combination consisting of a halved pineapple stuffed with grilled chicken, beef and pork along with some peppers. Side of beans and totillas. Another night out at the local Mexican joint.

A few pics from last night's chow for @Pedro .... First is a platter of "enchiladas suizas" - basically a tortilla wrapped around shredded chicken and covered with a green chili sauce and cheese. Side of refried beans and rice. Almost heaven....
