  1. Down to the old mining town of Animas Forks - pretty much nothing there but some old buildings at this point....
  2. Cool old miner's shack with it's own waterfall...
  3. Up to Engineer's Pass and back, passed some old mining ruins....
  4. I got in about 40 miles of dirt today, some of it very rough...
  5. Just me and a couple of tossers on cruisers...
  6. Pretty empty today - no caravans, etc clogging up the roads....
  7. One of the better roads in Colorado - if you're not afraid of heights.....
  8. Turned south at Montrose and was through Ouray and onto the Million Dollar Highway...
  9. Still, makes for a nice drive. This has to be the only water in this half of the state, the rest is pretty much desert.....
  10. There used to be three towns located where the water is now. The dam that was built in the 1920's submerged the towns....
  11. Up and outta the house at 0630 today to start the ride as today was gonna be along one. Shame it was 37F / 2-1/2C at 6;30. Freakin' freezin' when you're doing 85 mph on the highway for the first 3 hours. I didn';t take a single pic as it was too cold to stop. But once I got near Sapinero, CO, it warmed up a bit. This part of Colorado looks a bit different from my area...
  12. I just think that if I have anything much bigger than the Mini, then I won't bother to carry it and it'll gather dust on the shelf. Plus it's cheap - just like me..
  13. Nice! Love those above the clouds shots. Think I'll go with the Mavic Mini then as it's small enough to carry around. Thanks for the input!
  14. I'd like to get a small drone to take on bike trips with me and to play around with at home. Is the Mavic Mini worth a shit? I like the small size as it'd be easy to pack on the bike. Any other suggestions?
  15. I still like the under the oil pan view the best - never saw anyone do that one before.
  16. Snag those doors / hardware and ship to me - I can get $300-$400 a pop for those here. I recently made some doors for a lady and she wanted the old, distressed look. Had to fuck up some perfectly good wood to make it look that way. Made handles from rebar and dinged her $1,000 for them. Felt kinda bad doing it, but I needed some new tires.
  17. Nice! I love the unique angles for GoPro vids - not the old " through the windshield shot".
  18. Pretty much. It gets warm enough to ride a lot of days still - but not until later in the day. Once the Sun has been out long enough to warm, things up. And the road crews have already thrown grit all over the place, making it kinda dangerous to ride on mountain roads. The roads and weather aren't too bad in the valleys and under 8,000 feet of elevation though. So once I get away from home and down the hill, I can still ride for a bit longer.
  19. Love the old pics with the same view in today's pics!
  20. No bike, but got out in the truck for a bit today. Was about 35F / 1.5C today, so not a lot of riding on my part. Saw a couple of twats in a boat - had to be freezing out there...
  21. Looks nice! I swear I'm gonna toss my bike in the back of the truck and drive 3 hours west next week.....
  22. Still cold as fuck here, so won't be doing much riding this weekend. Hoping you guys post lots of pics of rides so I can pretend to be riding.
  23. Tat free - too old for that trendy shit
