  1. Turned down a dirt road and followed it about 10 miles to Tin Cup. Tin Cup is an old mining town but the unique part about it is that it's still inhabited. The old homes are mostl;y used as summer homes and are in pretty good shape considering their age and how they were constructed...
  2. The roads were smooth as you like....
  3. Made it up to the Pass at 12,126' above sea level. Nice and cool up here today and no smoke...
  4. No idea who this guy is, just happened to ride by as I was taking pics...
  5. I didn';t ride this area last year as there was so much road coinstruction going on. That meant that this summer's ride is on new asphalt that is super smooth. Like it...
  6. Being a Monday, there was little traffic out today. This isn't all that popular of place to go anyway as it's kinda remote....
  7. I rode about 125 miles south of where I live to Buena Vista and headed west towards Cottonwood Pass....
  8. Colorado is blanketed in forest fire smoke this month. No rain, single digit humidity and high temperatures and making the forests rather dry. But this morning, the smoke looked thinner than usual so I set out on a ride to the ghost town of Tin Cup. Can almost see the hills...
  9. 55C in Death Valley yesterday. Who wants to go there for a ride? Anyone? See: https://www.wpc.ncep.noaa.gov/discussions/hpcdiscussions.php?disc=nathilo&version=0&fmt=reg&fbclid=IwAR3XHQMm6nHMJuYd7JACTunxk6WFmfcH4ztmHfO4o4mLaz-KJeVv19G9lr8
  10. Can't get over how cheap they are - be a great place to store bikes and have a little shop in it.
  11. I just watched the videos with the sound turned off.
  12. Just went out to my truck - there's fire ash all over it. We have 2-3 forest fires in the State with the closest one being about 50 miles away. can't believe how much ash they're putting out. Really smells of smoke, too. Makes for cool sun photos though (not my pic)
  13. Driving a mate down to the hospital in Denver today for his back surgery and then picking him up on Sunday. So there's two days of my weekend shot as I play ambulance driver.
  14. Eeeks - def not a lot of room in there and dark, too!
  15. And who knows what he does at traffic lights - he can';t reach the ground.
  16. No Crusty Demons of Dirt? Blasphemy !
  17. Gonna take a bit of effort to clean that up.
  18. I saw this guy's stuff on the area where I live and thought it was cool. Makes ya want to get a drone...
  19. I so don't need one of these but I really, really want one.
  20. Pretty much he same with me.
  21. I gave up messing around with GoPro's a long time ago - should try shooting vids again. I just hate editing them
  22. A blistering 72F (22C) here at home. Don't know if I can cope.....
  23. Very unique - I like it. Once made a rear axlwe mount for my GoPro - showed the suspension moving, etc. Much better view than just through the winshield. see:
  24. Wish I had a few relatives to post, but I'm the last surviving member of our family in the US - the rest are still in Germany and I've never met any of them. None rode bikes that I know of, so I'll just go with this guy...
