Earache

The ride along the river was long. We saw a road sign that said "Curves next 100 miles" They weren't kidding. That ride wore my ass out; never left the hotel room last night, ordered a pizza to be delivered to theh room and went to bed early. So now, it;;s 4:30 AM and I'm wide awake, Today's ride to Gillette, Wyoming is going to be just as long, hot and tiring.

Came damned near running out of gas as there were no filling stations for about 200 miles out here. Got gas at a campground pump with 24 miles of range left....

The straight kline on tghe above pic is where the phone lost signal. But that area was 120 mikles of nothing but curves and smooth, void of traffic road. Best ride I've had in years. We railerd along at a steady 80 mph through there. I didn't take a lot of pics as I was just into the ride too much...

Rode ajust over 400 miles today from Pullman, Washington to Great Falls, Montana...

I tried. I really did. Anyway, it's located in Arco, ID where they used to - or maybe still do - make the nuke propulsion systems for subs.

I could kick myself for not going inside. They had no signage on the outside so I couldn't tell if it was a business or just some guys random collecting of shit. Wandering into buildings in small towns like this is a good way to get yourself shot.

And I just noticed the bicysles on top of the building. I should have gone inside.

I don;'t know. That bus predates my knowledge of vehicles, but I';d assume it probably was as I;m not aware of any other buslines back then.

Not sure where we'll be riding tomorrow, but more pics to follow....

Into Washington and out of Idaho. Loads of huge wheat fields everywhere...

Western Idaho had a lot of marsh land with water fowl - that kinda suprised me...

The cool thing about riding through small towns is all of the weird shit you see. Like this display of an old bus, a Cadillac and some rocket ship ride...

Lower temps today made for perfect weather. I opted out of the Huck Sauce at the truck stop...

Today we left Kalispell, Montana and headed for Pullman, Washington. Loads of rolling hills and rivers in the valleys. We railed along around 80 mph for most of the day and had a great ride...

Yup - although it wasn't open all the way over to the east as the Indians don't want sick people coming on the reservation.

It's super clear and clean - could see the bottom of 20 foot deep pools.

Yup - and it was 95F today (35C). It'll be there until it snows some more on top of it.
