Mess
Or am i crazy? I love BMW's new M 1000RR . I've had my fleet for a long time and have enjoyed riding them a lot but lately i have been thinking maybe it's time to mix it up a bit. I know it's crazy buying a track only super bike but ....i really want to ride a M1000RR in anger on the track. This thing is sick....but at $35,000 bucks US..... yikes !!!!! I know it's stupid but i'm almost 60 and my body is failing. it's getting down right hard for me to crunch myself small enough on a sport bike to ride fast on the track. If i don't do it soon i will not be able to. Can i afford it? nope not at this time but if i sold all my other rides i might be able to swing it. What's the opinions should I grow up and act my age? or give racing one more hurrah even though i am too fat ,slow and big to ever be actually competitive now
XTreme
We're all getting older Eric......unless we go with what we want NOW there may never be another window of opportunity.
Pedro
I know it hasn't got the same bling or not as capable electronics, but an older S1000RR will be bigger and more comfortable, how tall are you? These new superbikes have gotten way too tiny for a normal man.

I'm sure my legs were longer than his yet he's around 5" taller than me!

Superbikes are getting less and less comfortable over the last 4 or 6 years, if those last 20hp and electronics don't really matter an older bike might be a better choice without while saving having to sacrifice all other rides. Also might be a little more enjoyable when not on track.
