Last Weekend of November!

Well the tent <aka poor man's garage> is set up and ready for moto TLC.  We will start on my partner's bike and get the bearings replaced.  If all goes well I need to get Bagheera in the tent and see if I can torque down the engine block as it is leaking oil.  It's either loose or the seal was shit to start.

It sure is fun ordering parts from Hitchcocks, even though the Royal Enfield parts and bikes are made in India they can still classify them as "vintage" made in the UK..... so no duty!  Golden! ?

Tighten the what now? Is the block split? Or are you referring to the engine head?

It would be under warranty and is very common.  There are a few ideas.  Many say that two bolts are too short, some say the seal is no good.  I will just check everything.  I always planned on doing the work on my bike, to go to the dealer requires a day trip with ferries and then I would be with out a bike for weeks.  I hope to travel / live on this bike in the future so I want to know every inch of the thing. ??

I guess I have been watching too many YouTube videos of people travelling on bikes that I figured I wasn't so special.  The plan has been in the works for a bit and gets closer all the time.  ?  The next chapter in life looks epic! ?  I will share the adventure for sure.

WHO KNEW.....the SMELL....wow ?  When we cracked the steering assembly it squirted out a scary brown liquid that should not have been there.

By the looks of things the replacement couldn't have come at a better time.  I have now ordered some new bearings for Bagheera as well...   oh the stink......

Today was a stormy day on the Sunshine Coast. But I still managed to have a great ride through the rain and wind. So windy...  ?️  I was on my own so it was a short ride.  I stopped at Smuggler's Cove to enjoy the view. ?

Young lad was sposed to drop off his CBF I sold him in the summer. Small oil leak and rattle, hasn't turned up.
Bloody rabbit's dug his way into next door again.
Got to order the second brake disc I keep forgetting to order.

Nip into work and order some parts for a car that's coming in Wednesday,  should of done that yesterday.
Put some money in the bank.

Clean out the car ready for it's replacement Monday.

Clean out the hall way ready for the new smart meter Monday.
Watch F1 qualifying with a beer and relax.
