We rarely see snow now. If I does appear it's not for long.
Can remember 2 foot deep walking to school, more than 6 foot in the drifts.
We had a good bit of snow in Manchester when the kids were younger, their first snowball fight.

Winter 62/63 in Britain......that was something else!

We still had to go to school though.....life just went on!

I remember that even though I was only 5.  I can remember that we had to go to Clevedon on the train (steam train) to visit my nan as we couldn't get there by car.  That was 1963 though.

1967 when my dad got his a 1st car....a  1963 Morris Oxford.?

It was a 1953 Ford Pop and you couldn't drive it in the dark as the headlights were like candles . My dad could never afford anything special , i could write a book on some of the bangers he had :classic_laugh:

T he Camaro in the ad is a dead ringer for my car --
in fact, it makes me wonder if it is in fact,my car, used for the commercial before they shipped it off to me in Boston .

I had a mate back in the nineties who had a Z28, it was a rare car to see on UK roads.
