Pedro
Portuguese oldschool classic, codfish and chick peas Roasted broccoli and carrot sticks, way better than it sounds with Moroccan paprika yesterday’s pesto Spinach and pepper salad, tomato rice, and roasted hake filet. Morocco inspired meatballs and onion tomato sauce, with duck eggs. The laughing cow triangles are a guilty pleasure of mine.
Pedro
oven roasted codfish and potatoes with onions and olive oil, with the fire on it’s proper confort food on a winter night @Sofia‘s pataniscas de bacalhau, delicious. Maybe you would call them codfish cakes? @Sofia’s carabineiro rice: Rabbit cacciatore, it surprised me how good it turned out. Steak and roasted butternut squash @Sofia’s lamb pie, this was around Christmas. She wanted to cook UK things. The same lamb, not on pie.

Pedro
In a restaurant near Porto, octopus filets with octopus rice, Very typical dish, delicious. Oven roasted broccoli and carrots, with moroccan paprika for tastes. Simple basil pesto with local pine nuts, can’t go wrong. Proud of the platting. Again, codfish and chickpeas, me trying to perfect making a an oldschool portuguese meal. Tomato rice, fish filet on the oven with lemon, and spinach pepper salad. Great meal for very little money. Sofia’s carabineiro rice, great! Sofia’s vegetarian pie (with chorizo ), and grilled courgettes with garlic. Sofia made the dough from scratch. Nice meal! Sofia’s massada, Portuguese style fish pasta, delicious. Salad and Sofia’s upside down pie Pea rice and grilled pork “lizards”, lizards is the name of the cut. On the side there’s Sofia’s homemade focaccia with a bit of cheese. Sofia’s homemade bread for today’s dinner, finished 1 minute before consumption. I’m a lucky guy. Can’t have proper bread without proper wine, I think it says so in the bible, so there. This is proper stuff made 10km away from my place.
boboneleg
I'd be happy with just the homemade bread and the wine

Pedro
As you say, tuck in! Northern Portuguese cut of beef. Chorizo entree: Another flip and it was perfect, but Costa was in a frenzy while it was being sliced, all hell broke loose. Luckily we kept our cool and a good meal was had, except my dad almost chocking to death on an apple slice. Fucking apples! Half drunk now, but half sober.
