This isnt good news, they fucked up the JnJ vax.

"The problems arose in a new plant that the federal government enlisted last year to produce vaccines from Johnson & Johnson and AstraZeneca. The two vaccines use the same technology employing a harmless version of a virus — known as a vector — that is transmitted into cells to make a protein that then stimulates the immune system to produce antibodies. But Johnson and Johnson’s and AstraZeneca’s vectors are biologically different and not interchangeable.

In late February, one or more workers somehow confused the two during the production process, raising questions about training and supervision."

Still waiting for my second hit and quite frankly don't give a fuck. Wouldn't of had any of them if I had my way.
For some reason the though of catching and passing it on to other people, Mandi's shielding, done me in.

Must be getting old or something.

You can't compare the vaccine availability for top dollar countries like England and the US when compared to Portugal and Spain, it's naive to think it's only going slow on account of poor organization.

Statewide Mask mandate has been lifted for our county and all is pretty much back to normal for us. More urban parts of the State still have some restrictions, but none out here in the boonies.

I was under the impression that the EU had decided to get their vaccines en masse as it were, and that the bureaucracy has held up the ordering. Didn't the president admit as much?

well I've driven 6 hrs and 600km to spend an our and a half with broher in law today, as we're being locked down again from monday. limited to 10km of the house ( except for work, which has to have written justification) but I'm furloughed again till 26th anyway so that's that. schools closed as well for 4 weeks so animals kids are at home too. this is now valid for the whole of france.
