Have a nice ride, ?️?

Back now just a quick 50mile ride in the sunshine, was nice out there, not much of a lock down though traffic everywhere, a few bikes out but only single bikes no groups.

The only place I stopped was at the garage for fuel and that’s in grotty Gainsborough not very picturesque, I did say to the wife when we got back Pete wanted pictures, she said why didn’t I take some I said it’s hard enough getting on the bike to start with can’t get off and for pictures,?

Yeah bike riders who don’t take pictures, what’s the point of going out for a ride to keep stopping to take daft pictures, have bike will ride not have bike will stop every ten miles to photograph it.?

I tend to agree if out with a group but on the trail bikes there can be many gates to open and close so i usually take a photo when i stop for that. On my own i do stop occasionally to look at the views so a photo is easy then

Yeah that’s great, but where I live it’s just roads and boring vistas nothing eye catching here, plus to take pictures it’s park bike, me off wife off who struggles with arthritis,  gloves off jacket undone find phone take pictures, I don’t recall ever carrying a camera with me before the phone had one on.?

That can be a down side of riding in groups, someone wants a photo shoot, another a fag break, another a piss, and always one tit who turns up with a near empty tank.?

Same with groups on the trail riding side plus the one that really gets me is no tools to repair puncture or any spares but then expect you to supply them with a tube if the inevitable happens but no mention of giving you a replacement tube after

Never happen, even as drivers we where fingerprinted & photographed, had to pass through airport style detector, then have a pat down, had to leave ties, belts, any tobacco products and phone in a locker, lorry was checked with a heartbeat detector going in and coming out, then a guard would walk in front of the lorry to a gate which was about 25 ft tall, drive through gate into a holding area, close gate, then open another gate, was a nightmare delivering there.??

There's some real Hannibal Lecter psychos in that place isn't there?

Getting into Catterick Garrison barracks, where they had tanks, and big fuck off guns was a doddle in comparison.? Spotty squadie on the gate, " where you going?" QM,s I reply, " know where your going?".....yes I do....fuck off then your blocking the gate?

But one day a officious little twat made me sign in?...."company" he asked...Imperial says I.....how do you spell Imperial? He asks..der!

What you delivering?...laundry says I....how do you spell laundry he says?

These are the twats they trust to have a gun ?

RAF/USAF Mildnhall funnies.......later

Well you won’t get in to RAF Coningsby as easy as that I went in to go round the Battle of Britain flight, name address driving licence stand there while photographed wait while checks made then given a ID pass and an escort.

I've delivered ordnance to Coningsby in the past, when you're delivering explosives they let you straight in and straight back out    :classic_tongue:

Anyway, back on topic, last weekend in February!......end of Lockdown getting nearer?, or is it?.. regional Lockdown anyone?

Don’t know what do you think, one minute the numbers are up the next down in our area, don’t know if they know what’s happening.
