boboneleg
Lots and lots, the river rose eight foot overnight. Here's a photo where we are pitched, look the the left and you can see the top of the steps down to the shingle beach, the second photo shows how it normally looks.
Pedro
After dinner yesterday, I stayed up until 3AM drinking wine with my neighbor. I am finally having a good relationship with them after a lot of years of somehow never really caring much about each other, it´s nice. Today I woke up late, and went on a casual's ride to a cafe, not exactly @boboneleg's flood risks and camping under a storm, I rode 30km or 40km roundtrip, but what can I say ... it's blue skies but ... pretty windy??

Sir Fallsalot
I just got back from a weekend away with the wife touring a bit of north wales in the marmite wagon. There was a small gathering of people that normally go to a rally i do in February so we met up with them for a few beers in a Pub . The weather Friday was pretty bad but Saturday it was fantastic up there, had a few pints in a pub for the first time in well over a year. It was back to rain today on and off as we drove home

It was great to meet up again and the friday evening was a good laugh but we had to eveacuate the site on Saturday morning as the river Wye was about to burst over the banks. So I just rode a long loop home yesterday following my nose and dodging the showers Good to see y;all got to get out!

I had another company looking for a bilingual sales technicien ring me for an interview but they were offering 25% less than I'm on now and short of being at the point of suicidal tendancies I just can't justify that.

Sir Fallsalot
A few photos of my mooch about the Lleyn Peninsula on Saturday this was the route its about 150 mile round trip from the campsite First stop was at Criccieth to look at the castle but you had to pre book on line to get in so its just a screen grab from google maps for you lot The wife settled for a walk on the pebble beach, what is it with women as soon as she was on there she starts collecting stuff to take home Thought i might see Bruce bobbing about in the background but no Next stop we had a walk up to this, after some googling found out it used to be a windmill Some great views inland and of the coast, no sign of Bruce though The hills of Snowdonia National Park across the water Stopped at another beach for a walk, i liked this one it was almost deserted and free to park Had a look for Bruce here but still no sign of him Headed back to the campsite via Llanberis pass, shot a little vid on the way up, was real busy as usual luckily the bus pulled in at the top so i had a clear run down the other side We ate and drank far too much over the weekend got to get back on the trail bike to burn it off i think 5

alfalfa
After the Pan America ride test, my buddy and i head south, towards San Diego. He had being searching out some new roads, and the ones he found were epic, as much as they were new. It's pretty mind boggling to get up into the twisty's and forget that you are surrounded by about 15 million people! T This was the route, i'm pretty sure. All the green is the hilly section. Some of the highlights included a few miles of dirt between two paved sections, a decent that was over 26%, and a stop at Josie's Hangout, a re-opened biker hangout near Palomar Mountain. Josie's is where Gary learned not to give me the finger when i am sitting behind a Hells Angel wanna be The day was capped off at a diveish motel, next to Del's Hideout where i had the best hamburger i've had in years!. Not to be outdone by Gary, i plotted Sunday's return route and we spent a good three hours in the hills, with maybe three cars: We did have to forgo tacos in Baja, but that will happen soon! The bonus of Sunday's route was about 15 miles or so of good dirt at the highest point, culminating in some knee dragging as we descended back to pirate territory. Lunch stop at Josie's was time perfectly as we arrived and ordered before the parade of about 60 of Milwaukee's finest chrome showed up. There was the requisite burnouts and wheelies, but the greatest was the wideglide with the German Shepherd riding in front!
