Oddly both my infants and junior school were all white boards with drywipe pens and modern desks, it was like going back in time at senior school, blackboards, chalk and old desks with inkwells.

There is probably a spare key under a giant royal mat or plant pot just outside the main gate for late night returning staff who have forgotten their keys.

yen_powell
Dolly Parton' Coat of Many Colours meets Brick Lane. I had a school uniform blazer when I started senior school in 1977. It was enormous, The back hung down so much I looked like I was about to fling it up and sit down on a stool and play a piano concerto. My Mum said I would grow into it. Never wore it after the first 6 months. I think it would still be too big for me. https://spitalfieldslife.com/2023/04/02/suresh-singhs-tank-top-i/

yen_powell
One of my new sites is about 30 feet from Dennis Severs' House, an old Georgian home that has had every room restored to a different period and is open to paying visitors. I had no idea who Dennis Severs actually was until reading this today. I will do the tour soon. The house is easily spotted as it is the only one in the street with a flame fluttering 24/7 in the real gas lamp outside. Putin would do his nut if he saw all that gas getting through. https://spitalfieldslife.com/2023/05/14/how-paddy-handscombe-met-dennis-severs/ Links to pictures of the house at the bottom of the article.
