Rain over gloves

Has anyone used plastic over gloves on a trip?

I keep carrying my winter gloves whenever I go somewhere, in case it rains. However, if it's not winter they're just too warm, and also I hate riding with thick gloves.

Does anyone like those plastic over gloves you put over your leather or summer gloves to get through a rainy day when out on a trip?

I keep a pair of lighter waterproof gloves in my saddlebags so I can change if needed but the fairing does a good job of protecting my hands.

Have you tried a pair of neprene gloves when it's raining instead of winter gloves.  That's what I use in summer if it's raining, something like this..............

I’ve used surgical gloves over my summer gloves in the past seemed to work ok just need extra large ones

Reminds me of a story, we got trapped in a summer snowstorm camping in california's Sierra Mountains,

 

some forest ranger type told me to put plastic bags on my feet over my socks cause i dint have my snowboots..

 

I gave this what i thought was enough time to make my feet not hurt, about 3 seconds according to mum then. i freaked out.
