i have been wanting to ask how you are... after the loss of your little pal, felt a bit awkward to bring it up to be honest...

any thoughts on getting another in the future ?

I'm ok, very sad for him and for how he went. Miss him terribly when arriving home or sitting down for dinner.

I'm only getting another one in a distant future. Having said that I do spend a lot of time with Sofia's puppies, and they treat me like I'm their human, so there are dogs in my life.

Not my place to offer advice.  From my point of view  I have had dogs all my life and have never been more than a couple of weeks without one.    Having a new dog does take away some of the pain of losing an older one.  Not as a replacement or a way of forgetting just keeps your mind busy and stops you focusing on the empty silence.    Of course everyone finds their own way through but I couldn't imagine  life without a dog as part of the family.

So you play with Sofia’s puppies frequently?

Not sure what the listed price is as I just noticed the sign in front stating For Sale by owner. I bought my place 5 yrs. ago for $102k...now you can't touch any place for less than $200k here in Elgin. A good friend of mine just got evicted from his tiny cracker box house in Oregon City....the Landlord sold it for $425k...Insane pricing in Portland area as well as the whole state.
