MooN
can anyone tell me how long it's going to take to drive from Liverpool to Louth? googly maps says arund 3 hours but the last time i did a supposedly 3 h drive in the uk ( Norwich to Oxford a few years ago) it took us over 5 hours! I imagine the traffic hasn't got any better since then and I'm trying to plan timings
Slowlycatchymonkey
I dont know but I did find this tool on google maps for just that sort of thing. Tells you when it’s likely to be easiest- Check traffic now & later To reach your destination as quickly as possible, check typical traffic before you drive. You can avoid the busiest times of day. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Maps app . Search for a destination or tap a place on the map. At the bottom, tap Directions. At the top, tap Driving . At the bottom, tap the white bar to display: The current traffic on your route Typical traffic by the hour and any slowdowns on the way

boboneleg
My guess (and I haven't done that sort of journey for a while) is 4hrs 30 mins.
yen_powell
Long experience has taught me that in the UK you average 50mph plus however long you stop for to eat or take a break. This seems never to vary even when doing illegal motorway speeds. 2
Sir Fallsalot
The time varies on the time of day your travelling but I have found google maps to be pretty good on times of arrival with the exception of the unforeseen accidents obviously
Tango
Put the journey into Waze. It's the most accurate satnav that I've used, but it does fuck-up from time-to-time!
