And since he came out with me (both on 650GS's) nearly two years ago he's stayed well clear.

Did you try to bum him?

Just done the bike tyres.....little bit of air front and back.

Damn.....this thing makes life easier!

I would trust them things for an accurate reading

Hundreds of positive reviews and no mention of incorrect readings!

Just noticed yours is wireless , they might be better than the compressor ones … you could do an in-depth report , get tyre pressure reading with your new toy , then do it the old fashioned way with a tyre pressure gauge … I look forward to the results as I’m sure the other members do …

I look forward to that, and maybe even a small video properly explaining how it works

It's a tyre pump FFS! It puts air in tyres!

What more is there to say?

We want to know if it’s accurate and you to give a review , if your not sure perhaps your mrs could do it ?

No you tit , foot pump readings aren’t accurate ….see what pressure your new thing gives you then check it with a gauge and compare

I spent ages reading reviews for one of those that would reliable and small enough to leave on my bike on longer trips.

Every single one had a percentage of crap reviews saying they are inaccurate and don’t last. Eventually I bought the one that had the least complaints about inaccuracy and breaking cos I saw it in the supermarket for €19 and had just had a hair raising ride on very underinflated tyres.

Its excellent. So easy to use, portable and convenient. Do I trust it. Nope.

I just done a test for you not the same pump as yours but a battery one off Amazon

So this is my lineup of pumps and gauges

IMG_8487.thumb.JPG.b37d7bb79263387f7f993d6ed8a60f31.JPG

Pumped my tyre up to 29PSI with the battery pump

IMG_8488.thumb.JPG.0f09d2d315687adc03a87b2080c3154f.JPG

Then checked the pressure with my compressor gauge

IMG_8489.thumb.JPG.5fb9b2689a5545b5f4bce313b333678a.JPG

Then the 12volt AA pump

IMG_8490.thumb.JPG.69b6231e89f5a46b592c6ce391be0d77.JPG

Then the pencil gauge, well i thought that's shit until i put the battery pump back on and it was reading 27.5psi i'd lost some pressure between changing gauges.

IMG_8491.thumb.JPG.467ac9a42c89e3ed02519625f4560a36.JPG

I pumped the tyre back up and this time used the pencil gauge first

IMG_8492.thumb.JPG.62379aa1bbb6c00cf044bd1347ad40b1.JPG

Showing 29.5psi

IMG_8493.thumb.JPG.e7736682d0db05c84f9e78ab23162051.JPG

When i put the battery pump back on it was showing 29.6PSI as i'd lost air taking it off you don't lose air putting it on for some reason

image.png.dd2d3777ca08c21ff58652ed331e6d22.png

So if we are saying the pencil gauge is the most likely to be accurate then the battery pump is the next accurate one of my devices around 0.5 psi difference which i am quite surprised at

@XTreme something to watch out for on the battery pump at least mine anyway, is the pump would switch on sometimes in my pocket that's why i have that piece of foam taped to it so the buttons cant be held in accidentally and the other thing is put some tape over the charging port if it doesn't have a cover to stop any crap getting stuck in there when your carrying it about.

Blimey that is a surprise. My mini compressor won’t switch on until the tubes removed for inflating but I like the farmer style fix 😆

pencil gauge it is then, thats all ive ever used to get an accurate reading, 0.5 isn't that far out though.

@XTreme this is how this shit is done ...  do the walk of shame

In the garage i use the compressor and check the pressure with the pencil gauge the battery and 12v pumps are for emergency use on the road so not worried about accuracy. The dirt bikes don't matter about pressure as long as its over 10 psi and under 16 psi it will do LOL

i’ve now used Aliexpress: the order was shipped without street name in the adress!

I’m now imagining a chinese guy wandering around my town asking which house is number 9 :classic_laugh:
