Will you be styling and profiling this weekend ? Tomorrow when I meet up with @Skippy. Had a few things to do today like getting horse feed from a couple of different suppliers, picking up pellets for the Burner, then had to deal with some bone headed work queries.
boboneleg
It was far too wet to walk through the woods or down to the river today so we drove over to Warmley to walk along the cycle/pestrian path ............... No. this bloke is not giving himself a blow job !! It's a drinking fountain ........... Although there were plenty of wild primroses along the route, one suspects that these are not native .............. and back to the signal box . We walked about 4 miles all told.

They've maintained the signal box? Anything else still there?

If you go 3-4 miles further down the line at Bitton there are working trains and a line . I'll try to go there one day but it's a bit of a bunfight for the parking.

Sir Fallsalot
Hadn't run the marmite wagon for a while so me and the wife went down the Vale for a run and a walk around some old ruins first stop was St Illtyd Church i don't like the church but i can appreciate the architecture The wife doing the service The church visit was just a way of getting to what i really wanted to see which was Llantrithyd Place an abandoned manor house next door, i had to sneak thought the church grounds and over the wall to get in The wife tried to climb this tree for a photo sat on a branch but it was like watching Pete use tools, she gave up pretty quick From here was Old Beaupre Castle another manor house, there was a short walk across fields to get to it, these were a little too friendly for comfort The wife did find her tree on the way back LOL Next stop was St Quentin's Castle in Llanblethian only the gate house remains standing Stopped for lunch on the way home it was a little too posh for me there wasn't a lot on the menu for me but loads for the wife portions were small and it was bloody expensive for what we had we wont be returning.

Absolutely brilliant Fred, I love that sort of stuff I went to a castle at Llandevaud (between Caldicot and Newport) about a month ago . Unfortunately it's privately owned (but ruins) and asked if I could take photos but they told me to f*ck off (nicely) 1

Sir Fallsalot
The wife had me out walking again this afternoon i'm sure shes trying to kill me off the walk back up from it was long and steep We visited the tallest straight drop waterfall in south wales Henrhyd Falls. Not very impressive today as the flow was low but a bit of fame attached to it as it was used as the entrance to the Batcave in the Batman film The Dark Knight Rises.
