Your Day Today!

XTreme

Recommended Posts

Rode to my place, it's 33ΒΊ here so pretty warm. On the way over was riding steadily on the road and suddenly there's a baja racecar next to me flat out on a dirt road. They're running it now, I made sure to shift down to fifth and leave it behind using the nice smooth tarmac to my advantage, instead of being engulfed in the dust cloud it was leaving behind.

Didn't take any pictures, lots of bikes around today, all in big groups so didn't stop anywhere for even a coffee as everything was crowded.

Started well with a ten mile electric mountain bike ride around the local trails. What an incredible bit of kit, climbed some long, steep, gravel  hills on β€˜ xtreme mode’ and it was easy. How on earth could anyone get fit on one of these? 🀣

Spent a few hours with my dad being a general skivvy and now back at a pub just a few minutes walk from my mate’s swanky pad to watch the football and drink overpriced beer………..Β£6.10 for Madri and Β£5.10 for Guinness. 😱🍺🍺🍺

Yes Gaylord, cycling. I could have taken his Triumph Bobber or the Honda VFR400 out but didn’t trust myself not to do something stupid. 🀣🀣

Sitting here wondering if I’ve got enough money in my wallet to get proper wankered. Could be a close thing. 🀣

Redesign after redesign. I've been melting a lot of plastic around here lately, but I think I'm finally done - if this one needs to be stiffer it's got places to bolt braces to. Now to print it out in a decent material, but that's going to have to wait few days. I have way too many of these sitting around that became previous versions before the prints were even complete.

Pay no mind to the yellow strap, it's just something I had sitting around. It'll be replaced before use. BattBoxV8.jpg.266147764697457e3471c3fdb77b2eea.jpg

Im rather proud of myself this evening, finished a long term project restoring a β€œLouis Philippe” wardrobe ( 1840 ish) that belonged to wifes grandfather and had been left to fester in an outhouse. I’m not a cabinet maker or restorer but i reckoned i could make it useable again and possibly nice looking even.

The photos are probably fkin hooge, sorry, no access to poota just mow.IMG_4132.thumb.jpeg.3cb752fab4e34687528081cb49419920.jpegIMG_4134.thumb.jpeg.52bdb47b07b279344cc06df074c006c3.jpegIMG_4139.thumb.jpeg.4286ffb93829b6b2b380698d3fa2cdd6.jpegIMG_4138.thumb.jpeg.6203f6f178903a1e9cc5241c4c39b5ea.jpegIMG_4141.thumb.jpeg.d33dfab738fb4eb29128212f2bb7a1c8.jpeg

So now you don’t look like a parked loitering gipsy, you’re just choosing to sleep in a van smelling like take away fish?

You’re not kidding, tried eco mode but the damn thing is so heavy you’d be better off with a normal bike. 🀣

The trick is to ride away in off mode, then turn it into eco mode. By starting is turbo boost mode will ruin anything you do after.

Anyone that had ever cycled will know that keeping a 20kmh average is proper hard word, turn on turbo mode in an electric bike and suddenly 25kmh uphill feels like the walk to check your mailbox in the morning.
