My original Orange 950 was my favourite as I have so many memories associated with it.

Why was it sold..?  Was it time for it to be retired  ?

I was finding it too big to ride off road and I'd just had another operation so I was on crutches for nine months.  It certainly didn't get retired, four friends have owned it since me, I'm not sure who has it now though but it's still on the road with over 65,000 miles .

And it's still going...incredible.

Well I've decided that I will be never selling it again..not even if someone offers me 3 time what I paid for it...it's going with me to the grave...even if for some reason I'm un-aible to ride it...

There's a beauty for sale here at the moment but even if I was interested he wants strong money for it ..............

I have ordered some Koyo bearings, the ones in there now are Harley and have lasted a whole 7000 miles, hopefully the Koyo’s will be better.

Are the bearings available in common sizes for your bike Ian ?

Very tasty that Bob, I had the standard 990 with some Ackropovic cans etc and black panniers. Fantastic bit of kit but thirsty when ridden as intended 🤣

Tried it off road a few times but it was waaaaaay too much so I bought a cheap WR250F to twat around the Peak District.

Did loads of trips on the 990 including to Malta and back for a mate’s wedding.

Sold it back in 2011 and only a few weeks ago the bloke I sold it to contacted me through Facebook and said he still had it and had not one bit of trouble either.

Gave my mate a hand Saturday eve getting this bloody great couch out of his out house. You know the score, not stupid heavy but cumbersome and difficult to handle.
Back not happy today.

What year is that Bob...?  05 ?

Noticed it's missing the holes on the heat shield.

If you look at it it's shorter as well.  I'm pretty sure that the last of the 950's used the same guard as the 990.

Yes, same size as some Triumphs. The Koyo's have cost £13 for the pair.

Do you pay tax on purchasing used vehicles according to their value over there?

Probably, it’s basically a third world country, they are like a super gay version of America.
