Saul
When I was out yesterday my front brakes started honking a bit, so stripped and cleaned them up this morning. It was the right hand calliper sliders that were gummed up so I know I have fixed it. Did both sides of course. Also cleaned up the pistons and pads and rubber greased the seals. Good 4mm left on the pads so will keep them for the time being. Looks like the last time they were off some cack handed fuck wit had been at them. Both callipers scratched up on the faces where they had been clamped with no protection. Also they are the wrong colour so have either been rebuilt or replaced at some point. No big deal as they are fine but so tempted to refurbish them and paint them the right colour. I got to keep telling myself this bike is a winter hack and not get too obsessive. All cleaned greased and back together. Shame the rest of the bike is so shit high . May not be able to resist cleaning it this afternoon

Saul
Couldn’t help myself had to do it. For any potential snow foamers out there my pump up one shat the bed so I got this one off Amazon for £18, works well but for how long will be the factor. Battery powered.

Sounds ti me like you could do with a holiday in France… my brakes honked at me yesterday too, and the bike really needs a clean by someone who can be bothered with the details…

Saul
Sitting here thinking I have had a very surreal day by my standards. I haven't had to go anywhere or do anything I didn't want to. Bloody luxury. Shadow doesn't need me to take her to and from college, older daughter hasn't needed to go to the stables (no horse) and the boy takes himself to work. Apart from doing some stuff around the house and playing bike I have been a freeman for the first time in years probably. Could this be the future, probably not as big daughter still needs transport and driving lessons. But nice to dream.

boboneleg
This morning I have been to the ENT hospital in town . My appointment was on time and went well until I had to go to the pharmacy to get my prescription. The pharmacy is in another hospital which is a half mile walk (don’t even think about driving as you’ll never park). I then had to wait 90 minutes for my prescription and after that walk back up St. Michaels hill which is 1 in 6 to get back to my car , I am shagged 2

This is only for the inside fire, as a form of very cozy heating. I don’t spend many nights in this place currently, so that ton will last a good while. I’ve got central heating that runs on natural gas but that is reserved for ultra cold days as it gets properly expensive.

Catteeclan
Been playing with an imported KE175, F7 in the USA today. Owner has paid a fair bit of money for it but I've already discovered the forks are pitted and the main crank bearings have seen better days. All the cables are seized up too. He's going to have to have a good think, he doesn't like spending money and I can see he's gonna need a bucket full to start with. 1
