Just found out my Dainese touring pants are falling apart, fabric just tore open near some seams. Pretty disappointed, bought them in the end of 2021, and they have no more than 4 or 5 thousand kms. :classic_sad:

Went out a got some shopping she'd forgotten and dumped the excess of empty bottles we'd accumulated, that is all.

Sat here and done nothing. Pisses me off when I look back as I'm not normally a lazy basted but I'm still sitting here and now got a bottle of wine open.:classic_laugh:

Went up to the Dainese outlet and somehow now solved my pants problem by buying something with gore tex, plus my first ever pair of proper touring boots.

I’m used to more casual boots more like work boots with proper leather and stitched soles. Hopefully this’ll feel better in the proper winter and rain. 
 

Will leave my rain gear at home, and that’ll free some space in the right case.

The outlaws visited us, they did not stop long. 😂 

It has been sleeting most of the afternoon, so nothing to do apart from watch crap tv

It is like a comedy, rang Cadent, they were good, here in 45 minutes, did the checks, Meter is buggered, not Cadents job to replace it, have to ring our gas supplier which is Scotish power, she is talking to someone now, who is of no help at all, but says they can get someone out, but not for 4 to 7 days.

After the meter has been replaced the boiler engineer can come and fix the boiler, but not before.

Our main problem (at the moment) is someone that wife is talking to does not have a clue (it seems) what they are talking about....

I think it was Scottish power who got a huge fine a couple of years ago for piss poor customer service .  You've got to wonder how much training these twats on the other end of the phone get .

He said he would pass on our number to the relevant department, and they would ring us very soon.... over 1 hour later, nothing.

Yeh, Scotish Powers on line reviews are damning.

Excuse my moaning.

It's getting beyond a joke now, Cadent came this morning, did the checks, Meter is buggered, they told us that it was Scotish Powers responsibility to provide and install a new meter.

Scotish Power has just rung and says its Cadents job to supply and fit a new meter, we are getting absolutely fucking nowhere, Day 4, and looks like another (if we are lucky) 5 to 7 days before anything is resolved.........

Our MP (Steve Yemm) is one useless tosser...see quite often on his FB page people saying "I emailed you several weeks ago, no reply"

We need something doing in the next couple of days (at the most) as living like this is fucking miserable.

The meter is the responsibility of the utility provider, as is the connection between the intake head and the meter. The box/ housing is your responsibility as can be the back board. If the utility provider is telling you different they are a bunch of lying shysters.
