Got the bungalow nice and warm (ish) and now the window installation guy is here, he opened all the windows and patio doors now it's like a fridge in here. That's a fiver wasted. 😂

With the fifth horseman of the apocalypse here ( mother in law) I’m having to run the bloody heating 24/7 and the log burner all day. She’s always bloody cold.
I didn’t look at the meter for the first 6 weeks but the utility company have kindly emailed me to tell me my direct debit which used to cover the gas and power is now woefully behind. By the time she clears off I will probably have been able to buy another bike with the heat Ive wasted warming the place up.

We're just on the edge of the big, nationwide cold snap. So we'll miss most of the cold - midwest and east are gonna freeze solid this week though.

We sort of get fresh air through part of the bungalow, patio door seals have been knackered for a couple of years, bathroom & bedroom windows will not close fully because the tilt mechanisms are bent, and the windows mist up inside of the double glazing.

The mould guy is coming in early February.

PS. On the bathroom door there is a aluminium vent near the bottom, I took it off to paint the door, and guess what?, there is no hole through the door behind it. 😂

Been dark with cold cover here all day. Yesterday I ran a wire from the shed to power the iMac from the solar panels. It's been fine all night and this morn but came in 1/2 hour ago to a black screen. Panels are giving out power but not enough today.

2013 Dacia Sandero 1.2.......... £200 is for parts and labour, they need doing, was a advisory on last August's MOT 😂

Can't do them myself, so I will just have to stand to it.

I had a warning lite pop up on my dash a couple of weeks ago, took it in to the dealer today and they say “it needs a new battery management thingy. We need the car for 3 days to do it. “. It’s 4 years old and out of manufacturer warranty ( I have an after market warranty from honest johns car sales which probably isn’t worth the paper it’s written on).

Sigh, ok, when can you do it. We have to order the part from Sweden sir, it’s covered under warranty and we will give you a loaner car for the three days. Can’t remember the last time I was so pleasantly surprised by a car dealership.

The end links/bushes are available for a tenner per side, the D rubbers that hold the antiroll bar are around the same. I guess if the labour rate is around £70 ph it's soon up to £200.
