I've been grovelling around on the floor underneath my van all morning.  It sprung a diesel leak on the way home from work on Monday so I was underneath trying to remove the undertray to get a better look, not much fun on a lowered van 🤨

I can see where it's coming from now, looks like a hose has split from the pump to the injection rail .  Oh joy !!

Jacked the front end of a sprinter today only for the crossmember to collapse. After much beating and bending I got it back to looking like it originally did.
Once all the mud had fell off I could see it wasn't something to jack on.:classic_laugh:

After 3 weeks of rain, we have a sunny day in the Lisbon district.
I took the bike to go the the office today.
The wind is still strong but it was nice to ride for a bit again.
The weather will be rainy again for the next 10 days at least... 😒

It's 20 years old mate .  The hose with 0701 on , it's leaking at the bottom end.  Can't tell whether the hose it split of the union has rusted but it pisses out when you start it up.  I think it goes from the pump to the rail but the bottom end is a real bitch to get at .

After having a week of decent weather....  just like that, old man winter decided to knock on the door last night...

Snow was of the wet variety...the kind that sticks to everything....except the roads fortunately...

Warmed up & it's all gone now....which is great 'cause I've got plenty of outside stuff to do.:classic_rolleyes:

Just been and had the bikes out and run up. Tracer started first touch of the button, TDM needed help from the battery charger and he dominator, are the nx650.

Took a bit of winding before it burst into life, then piss petrol out through the overflow again. I also noticed a leaking fork seal which pissed me right off as the stations were re-chromed and assembled with new seals and oil. Gonna try the seal saver if I can find it before taking a big hammer to that basted carb.

I used some anger energy to have a good sweep/clear up too.

Puncture on the way to work this morning, instant deflation and lots of wobbling to get it into work 😳🤪

The good thing about working in a race shop is that it was up on the ramp in no time while I went home to get a new tyre and tube.

Lee also gave it a quick brake service while it was there 👍

Good job today in work. Installed some temporary 110v lighting in a pumping station inlet in Newport. It was a bit shitty in there and this was after they jetted it out LOL

The job was so some poor fucker can get in there to refurbish that penstock. That's the big cast iron thingy for those that don't know what a penstock is.

On my XR and the dominator i replaced the float bowl screws with Allan key head screws. I can now remove the float bowl to remove and clean the jets without taking the carb off, its a bit fiddly but so much easier than taking the carb off. I do have a flat slide carb on the dominator not the CV carb, not sure if that would make a difference though.
