YamaHead Posted Tuesday at 23:18 Share Posted Tuesday at 23:18 Drove to ID & back today- about 340 miles....through sun, rain & snow...crazy weather this spring-- The Elkhorns were beautiful though... Full truckload of Mrs. Hook's stuff...tomorrow we'll unload it all into the garden shed, so she'll have everything here right in our backyard w/ an extra $80 in her pocket every month from now on.

Catteeclan Posted yesterday at 10:10 Share Posted yesterday at 10:10 Took the dominator to Oulton Broad yesterday to check on the Rover I've been playing with only to remember the keys were in my car. Gave it an angry throttle full on the way home only to loose power and see the rev counter drop to nothing. Got down to about 10 MPH before all was well again. Spent the rest of the trip home behaving myself but pull every wire/plug I could get near. Think this is going to be another strip down for a look see. 1

Another one i had with mine when it was cutting out for no reason was a broken loom around the headstock. Got to the bottom of it when it would only run when going straight or turning left. If i remember right there was a bunch of commons all crimped together and wrapped up in the loom, one cable had corroded off

Bit short on time at the mo and it's the only one currently with road tax. I'm thinking of stripping and running off a remote tank so I can have a proper pull about while ticking over. I'll get into it one day but keep throwing in the ideas. Oh, and I seem to be getting a little fork leak on the other side now.
Saul
Trip over to Newquay and Project 83 this evening. Like a warm summers day. with a couple of mates, Andy on his Thruxton and Martyn on his V85TT. Nice to have all modern bikes for a change and not have to wait for the vintage bone shakers. Family parking

Saul
Had a trip out to the local Vintage motorcycle club this morning. And one old chap turned in his recently restored MG only done 140 miles since it was finished. Certainly a beautiful thing I can’t imagine it came out of the factory this good.

They looked better with wire wheels, this was my dads one, his was a 1959 and that one was manufactured in 1951 but re-registered in 1987 for some reason. Just checked my dads old car on DVLA and its still on the road, it says it is red but for some reason i thought it was British racing green
