Sir Fallsalot Posted Thursday at 19:56 Share Posted Thursday at 19:56 The Marmite wagon failed its MOT today. Needs front discs which i have ordered and will be in tomorrow, Took the one off tonight to take with me tomorrow to make sure the new ones are the same. Pissed off because i haven't long put pads on the front. The outside of the disc is like new but the inside where i couldn't see is rusted and pitted, probably would have been ok if i had given it to my mate to skim LOL
Pedro Posted yesterday at 02:50 Share Posted yesterday at 02:50 How can the engine run fine if it doesn’t start?
Clive Posted yesterday at 07:04 Share Posted yesterday at 07:04 4 hours ago, Pedro said: How can the engine run fine if it doesn’t start? Would have to ask the owner that question. The engines in these bikes are not usually troublesome, the electrics (usually) went POP long before the engine got to a decent mileage.
Clive Posted yesterday at 07:12 Share Posted yesterday at 07:12 The later models with the Bosch engine management system had none of these (starting & running) problems, the early model (like this one) is best avoided, Ducati Veglia engine management systems are like Hens teeth.
Sir Fallsalot Posted yesterday at 18:23 Share Posted yesterday at 18:23 That's the discs done on the Marmite wagon, although they were bloody hot and smoking when i got back from my test run hoping that's just them bedding in. I will try them on on a run with no hills tomorrow to see if they are still getting hot.

Sir Fallsalot
I think I've fixed my central heating leak today and @Catteeclan you were right boiler is fucked, I suspected the main heat exchanger is cracked and was told that was the end of the boilers life even though it is only 7 years old, after a quick google search i found a reconditioned heat exchanger for £144 with a years warranty and a YouTube video of my exact boiler showing how to change it . Took me about 3 hours to change and with no cuts to my hands lol, i will know tomorrow if it has fixed the problem This is the old heat exchanger stripped down, the reconditioned part came complete with all sensors and probes This is of the bottom of it and connects to the condense trap that white shit shouldn't be in there
YamaHead
After I get back from Portland next week where I'll be spending 3 days w/ my son & grandson...& no doubt will be laughing my ass off most of the time watching those 2 give each other all kinds of grief ...gonna locate a new control circuit board for our pellet stove & fix it myself. It'll be nice to know that it'll be ready in Sept. when the liquid sunshine & lower temps show back up. For now....Roll On summer

Pedro
I dealt with this shit today It looks cleaner now, if you look at it from across the street. Also took the old E30 for it’s mot, which it passed with only 1% difference between left and right suspension and brakes in both axles, I think their machines are fucked Also gave it a wash, last one was a while ago, and although it never sees any rain it did make a substantial difference. Tomorrow meeting up with @JustaPor for lunch somewhere on the bikes.
