Got a co driver today, shes very happy 😊

Is your boss cool with that ?Β  In my day it was frowned upon mainly due to insurance.Β  Anyway, she looks perfectly happy there πŸ‘

FIXED!

I asked on the Picasso users group on Facebutt and somebody suggested this:

"Could it be an immobiliser thing? Try locking and unlocking the car using your key fob before starting it..."

I didn't even know it had an immobiliser......but I tried it anyway!Β And it fucking worked!

Now the missus can get that fucking horseshit off my footpegs!

First time in over 5 years the car won't start.

Battery fine, all electrics work, but nothing happens when you turn the key.

Starter Motor @Catteeclan?

Sorry been out although Bobs spot on.
I would suggest giving the starter a smack but as your cars a diesel it's buried in the back on the engine so a bitch to get near.
No light or key shaped light flashing on the dash? Could be worth trying the spare key just incase it's a transponder issue.Β

Edit, I see I'm a bit late.:classic_laugh:

Used to be a reset which worked a couple of times. Engine off key in the ignition, open one of the windows. Wait 10mins, disconnect the battery for a few mins and reconnect. Don't open any doors or try to start for another few mins. Fingers crossed.
If that fails then it could be time for petrol and a match although it would have got that earlier if I had my way.

just found this on google,
Β

Put the driver's window down and open the bonnet. ...Β

If you have a battery cover remove it. ...Β

Switch the engine off and remove the key (DO NOT Open the doors) ...Β

Wait for 3 minutes. ...Β

Disconnect the vehicle battery and wait 15 seconds. ...Β

Reconnect the battery, wait 10 seconds (DO NOT open any doors)

Still could be a dodgy starter. solenoid or relay though.

Yebbut, does the key have a battery in it ?Β  If it does it may not be sending a signal to the ignition transponder so it won't start

Yes it does have a battery in it.

But surely the spare key (not remote) should work?

That's true, is the spare key purely a key or does that have a battery in it as well ?
