I'm sure he said it was!

But it'll be a Yank Belt so it'll be better than yours.

And a damn sight more costly..

Buck's already bought into the Harley lifestyle.......a few more quid won't hurt him.

It’s good for 100k miles, I think, doesn’t get a lot better than that.

edit: looked it up, it’s 100k kms, not bad either.

Get nowhere near that on a scoot belt, they wear down on the edges which decreases top speed, the belts I have changed looked in perfect condition, but below factory width specification.

Belts are quite a nice solution for motorcycles that don’t face offroad or very powerful engines.

Many year ago I had a Kawasaki GPZ305,  that was belt drive, the belt snapped while out on a ride, luckily near to home when it did.

Ŵent and ordered a new belt, when they told me the price I almost passed out. 😲 £150, and that was around 1980, so I converted it to chain drive, shortly before it devoured its camshafts. 😂

The Gates belts on Harleys are okay up to around 150hp and 200 Nm.

On the Suzuki Burgman 650 the belt is supposed to be for the life (or was) of the scoot,

But many failed well before that, suffering catastrophic transmission failure.

Pretty tame really then eh why not over 200bhp what happened to tuning it, or are hardly riders scarer of tuning their bikes?

You need a chain conversion once you are north of those figures, lots of tuning goes on. Your bike is designed to be tuned but
