I love those skies.

Might your lens be dirty, though? Looks sort of foggy.

Yes, the skies were pretty nice.

It wasn't foggy, so I think that you're right, the lens on the phone was a bit grubby. Either that, or the phone camera optics don't like the vibration from the phone mount on the bars.

I spent a lot of time in a carpentry place once, and dust managed to get into my phone and make the lens dirty from the inside. It can happen.

Had to make a very minor adjustment to the position of the Quadlock mount on the support bar.....now it's lined up perfectly.

Still got to try and figure out a way to make it more visible when the conditions are bright.

After all, I'm never going to be out riding it when the conditions are not bright!

And yes.......the screen has now been cleaned! :classic_cool:

Make it perfectly vertical, I think that might help with the glare issues.

How? Cos the same amount of light is going to be going on the screen.

I agree, when we ride we don't ride horizontally .  If you have the phone in a vertical oroientation you will see your turns coming up quicker :littleguy:

Because you'll be reflecting less glare from the sun towards you. Try it on a clear sunny day, mid ride, and see if it doesn't work.

Bollocks to all this politics,  you can look at my motorcycle instead!

Had a little bimble over to Trebes, which is in the foothills of the Corbieres. It was slightly chilly when I set off, but it warmed up a bit on the way back. I didn't actually go into Trebes castle, I'm saving that for a visit with Mandy, and to do a bit of a walk in the gorge there too. The roads were pretty quiet once I'd got past Narbonne,  so it was a nice ride.

I know its a faf but if it was me I'd make a cardboard shroud for it and test different sizes and shapes then once you get one that you like and that works best for you then you should be able to get something made out of plastic to your specs if there's an injection moulding place anywhere near you, or you could get a 3d printer and design a shroud so it prevents the glare

One of my mates down in stortford has a 3d printer if needed im sure for a drink I could get him to make you something, all you'd need to do is email me over your requirements with sizes and could get something made up

Thanks Rich......I'll test it out on Tom Tom maps first and see if it's clearer.
