What's your extra payment @Clive , is it a personal or company pension that you have ? I ask because I live on a company pension plus what I earn by buying and selling etc. When I get my state pension in 2024 my company pension will reduce pro rata, so I probably won't be getting anymore than I do now. For clarity, I took my company pension aged 51 on a reduced rate when they shut the factory and made us all redundant.
XTreme
Got some good news today! Cos on Xmas Day my boy and the two grandkids will be coming up for Xmas Dinner......and the fat, obnoxious cunt will be staying in their flat on her own. I'm going to drag the day out as long as I can in order to prolong the time she's on her own on Xmas Day! 1 2

Maybe I was a little better prepared for retirement.....as I was on just above the minimum wage for many years before I retired so my monthly take home pay was around 1200 per month....and my wife missed the last six years of her working life due to her ailments....so the drop in income was not so profound. But someone earning say 35,000 quid a year to drop down to basic state pension is one hell of a drop in living standards.

Yeah retirement for my generation is pretty much out the window, we have a few successive government fuck ups to pay for, im not saying your generation doesn't but I think we will bear the bigger brunt of it

Pedro
Rode to Sofia’s today, avoiding dark clouds and rains all the way, I realized I missed being on the bike! Also think I’ll keep the suspension soft and these tires for now, I ride slower like this, while feeling like on an adventure

I haven't ridden mine for the best part of 10 days and am really missing it. Obviously the weather was a factor but I couldn't have got on the thing anyway as the gout is back with avengence. I am going to ride it on Monday no matter how many layers I have to put on.
