I called Domingo the plumber at 10am and he just came round to replace the upstairs toilet mechanism and repair the downstairs one!

It cost €50 (£42).......how much in Britain these days for that cos I can remember plumbers charging silly prices?

As  a company we charge £50/h for an engineer £45/h for a supervisor £40/h for a electrician and £35 for a labourer but we don't do an hour we do half day minimum, we are a specialist company though and don't do house bashing. I think a one man band outfit would charge about the same as what you paid if you could find a reliable one that is

That price includes the plunger thing though.....whatever they cost over here.

Can't cut my grass when it's wet, it's been wanting doing for a month.

Can't do much on the scoot in the shed with lack of room too, but at least it's dry in there, roof not leaking.
