The box/ housing is your responsibility as can be the back board. If the utility provider is telling you different they are a bunch of lying shysters. you cant be left with out any heating.... you need to kick up a proper fuss

Although I bet it feels like pissing in the wind trying to get a result. Been in the shed most of the afternoon as it's been raining all day. Made a wood frame to get the solar panels up. Hoping for a dry afternoon to get them up and secured.

Wife has kicked up a fuss, she has been on the phone for just over 6 hours today, but both companies just go So we have got nowhere today.

It bothers me that you don’t get an invitation to visit someone for a warm dinner at least.

We could cook a midday meal at our daughters house while they are at work, and the kids are in school, wife may struggle with their electric cooker though. Wife's sis lives 45 km away, so we would not bother with a trip over there, wife does text/phone her sis, but her sis is not very concerned with the situation here, they are wrapped up in their own world at the moment, preparing for their 3 weeks in Tenerife which is coming up soon..........Bastards!.

I come from a huge family but I know of maybe two that would help out in an emergency like Clive is facing and maybe one close friend. Everybody is wrapped up with their own problems. Also the current media narrative around immigration and benefit scroungers has fed into a very poor attitude to people in general and real acute need. Homelessness and food banks are normal and just accepted here which is abysmal given the relative wealth of our country . Given that context it's not hard to understand corporate indifference to Clives situation.

Get on to them and tell then your phoning one of the morning tv shows to complain . They love a story like that and the feckers will be straight around to sort it. 2

That's a good idea, could try local radio as well and threaten Local MP, they probably don't know how feckless he appears to be.

Nute
I was supposed to have my spine op tomorrow but it’s been canceled . Too many people with flu and RVS or some such thingy. On a positive note that does mean I can go skiing at the end of the month which I thought I would miss.
