You're so in the dark ages, these dudes are modern workers.  If you look you'll see that their vacuum is a Hetty as opposed to the more commonly used Henry .  Apparently Hetty has a stronger suck .................

I applied for my UK state pension this morning. The money will be nice but I’d swop it to step back twenty years.

Made me realise how precious time is, had to come to the UK last week for my dad’s cremation. He was 88 years old but just makes you think about how much productive and healthy time you have left.

I no longer make long term plans, take each day as it comes, i would like to do much more with my time left, but there are restrictions that prevent many things happening.

Off work today as i had to visit the dentist this morning for a checkup, or should i say so they could take money off me for the sake of it. I've had a productive day so far, i weighed in some scrap, fitted a steering wheel control interface in the marmite wagon so i can use the buttons i thought i could live without on the steering wheel, took the boy to his training course and just changed the flush valve on the upstairs toilet which has been driving me mad these last few weeks, i originally thought it was the fill valve so i changed that and it was still dripping, the drip,     drip,     drip, in the nights was driving me insane, so this week I've been turning the water off to it every night to stop the drip, which then led me to the real problem. After turning the water off overnight i found the tank was empty in the morning the flush valve seal was leaking slightly and when the level dropped in the tank the fill valve opened causing the drip, fuck me i can see why the chinks used water torture in the past. 
Now all i have to do is find the bloody leak on the central heating system, i haven't topped it up since fitting the new boiler about 8 years ago but this last week i have to top up the central heating system daily and i have no idea where its going can't find any wet patches anywhere.

After a glorious day yesterday (weather-wise)....woke up to 16f this morning, so the slimey snow that's left has turned to crunchy hardness....the dogs liked it as they could run across it w/o sinking their short legs into it. Going with Mrs. Hook to have a go at building a FB page for our church today...that oughta be interesting...
