XTreme
I was out at 11am......and it was a bit nippy then. But I should have my handguards on soon so that'll help. Today I wanted to revisit a station that I went to in the Summer of 2020......but I was in the car then en-route to Albox for the Brit Supermarkets. So it's not the same. The unusual thing about Tijola is it's one of the very few which actually has a Locomotive on display there: the restored RENFE diesel 11339 'TIJOLA'. The station itself was opened in 1894 and linked the provinces of Granada, Almería and Murcia. It finally closed on December 31st 1984 when all lines were shut down. Some of the old railway equipment still remains in place there, and the station building has since been restored and used as a restaurant.
Saul
Cool, love anything to do with trains. My dad was a Guard for BR for years when I was a kid, it all fascinated me. I used to love running around in his guards hat. . There was and still is to a certain extent a massive goods yard near where I grew up, and a big chunk of the village worked there. You could always tell if the dad worked BR because their house was always painted cream and brown inside, of course the paint all came from the same place buckshe.
