Varied selection of bikes today at the cafe, the Portuguese made 2 stroke SIS Sachs oldie made me take the phone out and show you guys something not very common in the UK, and then I took a couple more pictures. Quite a range of different bikes there today

Half ratty VFR750 with broken plastics was the loudest bike by far, which was a surprise considering the exhausts look so silent!

Some kind of NC club had a rideout to the area, they had stickers made and everything :classic_laugh:

It was a collaboration between the portuguese company SIS that made the bike and assembled it under license from German Fitchel & Sachs who allowed their engines to be made here. It was a big thing in the 70s when big bikes like you had in the UK were big money. They're not unusual here, obviously.

The V5 meant it was a proper bike, it had five gears :dancebanana:

I had one of those in blue, sold a CB750F1 to get it and at first ride i thought i made a mistake as riding it home it seemed to have the same performance as the CB750 which i was disappointed with as i wanted something quicker, but when i got it on the oped road i decided to take it to the red line and oh boy what a difference, when it reached the rev's that the CB was running out of breath at it just took off, it was like a rocket i just burst out laughing to myself, I owned it for about 4 years but had a speeding ticket for three of the four years i owned it so it had to go i was like an idiot on it. Put about 45000 trouble free miles on it except for my bad maintenance it was faultless

Yes in my youth i used to live on the bike didn't have a car so used to commute on it as well as ride for pleasure it had 64000 miles on it when i sold it. I bumped into it in Aberystwyth about two years later and it still hadn't got to 65000 miles :classic_laugh:

Can you remember Leigh @Sir Fallsalot ?

He’s got a 750 , it’s probably the bike he rides the most now as the rest don’t work 😂

There is still nothing like that for bikes here, it’s about to start though.

Well I don't think much of MOT's cos stats wise they don't appear to impact on accident rates but looking at that heap I can see why they'd consider introducing it.

Shame though. When's it coming in?

Don't you have to get your vehicle emissions checked then?

In Spain it's only noise levels for bikes.
