My wife's wheelchair was on loan from the Red Cross.....but the airport baggage handlers damaged it, I repaired (bodged 😂) it, but Red Cross said dispose of it  when I told them it was damaged.

We have a Red Cross near us which lent us a wheel chair for grandad before he passed on and also crutches for my son when he was trying to show off in front of a young lady and failed miserably.

My wife still has her elbow crutches for her bad walking days.....the hospital gave her those....told her to dispose of them when she no longer needed them.

@Renegade......I know you did those mobility scooters, can you advise on wheelchairs?

Depends on what is needed :- Powerchair (Battery powered) or Push along or self propelled, probably better to buy one.

Around £1380

All of the above can be folded and put in the boot of your car.
