Saul
New bit of garden art, well old primary school project for Little Bits that has been booted out of the revamped conservatory. Lots of competitive dad stuff back in those use days. Twas a Viking study so I made her a battle axe and shield. Dunno what happened to the axe.

Little bits was running around trying to chop the boys with it, luckily it was only made of pine wood, apparently I wasn't told as Little Bits was worried I would have told her off. When the viking project was over she was only allowed to bring the shield home, if we wanted the axe back one of us had to go get it. Only found that out today

Earache
This guy brought a bunch of old boards to me and asked if I could make a table out of them. The boards were the rough sawn oak floor joists from his Grandmother's 140 year old house in Nebraska. Had just enough material to make the top - the legs ands aprons were made from new oak and relic'd a bit. One of the more fun projects I've done.

Sir Fallsalot
Last night i discovered the battery tyre pump i have has a duff battery, I used it to pump the XR rear tyre up a few PSI and ran the battery flat even though it said it was 100% charged before i started, so put it on charge overnight but it wont switch on anymore even though it's showing 100% charged. So tonight i stripped it down removed the battery soldered on a length of cable (off the old tv i changed a month ago) to the battery wires and now its a plug in 12v pump, not sure if it will last as the original battery was 7.4v but everything works for now the digital display and pressure cut off setting even the little LED just need a fag lighter plug to finish it off now
Pedro
I've got an old school budget gas stove with no electric spark makers to ignite the gas. I also have an old gas lighter with no gas in it, the long kind you use to light fireplaces and BBQs.

MooN
Side case all fixed. Swapped the lid off the 2 nd hand one and then fitted the retaining strap from my original to the βnewβ lid. Sir Fallsalot
Todays bodge was for the Beta. The one thing i'm missing is a mirror but there is nowhere to mount one, the only space on the handlebars to put a generic clamp mounts the mirror too far in and i cant see past my elbow so i decided to make a mount and bolt it to the hand guards Started off with this bit of aluminium bar i picked up in work a few years ago and offered it up to where i want to mount it I need to cut out a groove so the bar of the handguard locates in it, i used my chop saw which has a metal cutting blade in it to do multiple cuts to create the groove Lots of filing after this to take away the ridges and the curve of the blade but it's something i will do at the end as its a lot of work to do and then find out i don't like the end result I need to put a taper on the end so it doesn't clash with the wind protector part of the hand guard I have to guess the right angle so have a few attempts to get it right zero engineering skills used here LOL The part cut off and cleaned up Mounted on the handguard almost finished didn't have a tap with the correct thread pitch for the mirror so got to wait until the one i ordered arrives quite pleased with the way it turned out
