We used to call it 'crabbing' back in the day.  The chassis has twisted , if that was spotted by the authorities (or any good transport manager) in UK it would be taken off the road.

Crap materials used on the chassis rails, loose bolts , transmission faulty , lots of possible causes.

i remember seeing this on old  minis , 70's and 80's , being  behind one and they look twisted.
