Buckster Posted October 24 Share Posted October 24 Turbos are the simplest thing in the world, it is when they are controlled electronically that you have issues, if it is a turbo diesel then it will be an issue with the fuel air mixture control. From what I've seen over the years ..I don't see any more advantage of running Turbos on small displacement gas engines...Diesel yes...I've watch Ford and other manufacturers go for this a specially in there line of of half ton trucks...2.5 l and the 3.5 l engines fitted with twin turbos...I'll tell you my 6.2l natural aspirated engine does better on millage than any of the two....not to mention the cost of repairs if anything breaks on them....I see it for exotic cars and race engines..
