Oh really? I didn't imagine they'd ever be a time it would be quiet. Maybe I'll go back during the colder months then, would definitely enjoy it more with less people everywhere.

It's bliss in out of season. Problem is you get used to it being great and then summer hits and your nose is put out of joint because it's covered in grockles.

Pete will love this - Like My Himalayan? Worth £100  more that when I bought it in 2019!!

Good to know you could pull in £200 whenever you want!

Most of them are listed £300 more than I paid.

But they don't have the same cache, you know the gravel trap patina should add a few bucks.

Seem to think it was May. I'll have to find a pic to confirm.

Edit, none of the road but found one of the kids. May 2015.

Yep, winter months are ace as long as your not afraid of possible ice (they rarely grit it), although it has been tamed somewhat by the 30mph limit.  You can blame the boy racer twats sliding their twattish cars around the corners  for that :wank4az:

I tend to ride the Combe when i'm down that way, a bit north of Cheddar and its a cracking road, it's always been quiet when I've been there and there's some nice walks from the pull ins off it. You can also have a mooch in some caves there for free obviously not as impressive as Cheddar but you still get to see the goats defying   gravity on the rock face

Some of my Cheddar pics, as you can see I nearly always stop in the same spot

Looks like a totally different experience to what I had, would prefer that for sure!

You confused me there, the Combe is Winscombe, The Mighty Combe, that's just Burrington  😆

Have you tried out this cafe? Apparently the foods very good although I'm told more restaurant prices than cafe. It was closed when I went so I've not tried it yet.

Mr Slowly and my eldest tried the cafe out this morning and said it was excellent. Pics look great.

Rare to find a place that still does kippers for breakfast but that place does. Mr Slowly had the breakfast kebab which he said was really good and the eldest said it's rare he thinks it's worth getting up early but it was so good it was worth it.

Next time he's trying out the mega breakfast - traditional fry up with double everything!

Same here, love them but would rather someone else stunk up their kitchen cooking them.

I've bought a single ring electric hob so I can cook them on the table outside when the weathers ok.

Cors thats a bit tricky from a 1000 miles away 😂

I’m told it’s popular with bikers. Both Lycra and leather clad varieties.

I’ve got food envy, no chance of a kipper for breakfast in Spain is there 😂

I'd better wear my leather jacket then as none of my lycra fits anymore  :classic_laugh:
