Saul
At a loose end today so thought I would pop up to Exeter to have a look at the shiny things in Bridge Motorcycles. A big multi dealership. Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki, BMW, BSA and Triumph. Never been before and fancied a jolly. Really big selection of big late model bikes. I liked the look of this AT plus there a couple of Z1000’s kitted out for touring that I liked. Not that I am planning to change but it is nice to look. Also took a real shine to this Tiger 660. I wonder if they do lowering kits. I had a spud in the on-site Cafe the headed out across Devon to get to Bude on the North Coast. Really nice ride on some lovely biking roads. Bude was as lovely as ever. It made a change coming into it from the North side. Coffee ice cream went down well. Trip stats plus a sore ass. Also the Mrs has gone dark cause I said I would only be a couple of hours
Saul
Also forgot to mention I popped into SP Motorcycles who are just down the road from Bridge to have a look. KTM, Aprilla, and Moro Guzzi dealers. Not so friendly a bunch I thought. Did have a couple of nice Guzzi’s and a Triumph Thruxton in stock. Not so keen on the look of the KTM’s. Those bug eye headlights don’t do it for me.
XTreme
Superb report Saul. I rode down to Bridge in the late 90's when I lived in Chepstow......very impressive operation! Those guys are like Damerells and Fowlers.......been around since the 50's! I remember visiting a grey import dealer on the way down.......their premises were like one big warehouse. Not sure of the location though.

Got a few mates there and if you ask them why they have a EX postcode it never fails to get them biting. To be fair Devon is a stunning place and less packed and spoilt than Cornwall. I passed my motorcycle test in 1984, now that was a lifetime ago 1

I was thinking what you said about grey importers, was it Speed Motorcycles?

Can't remember the name.......all I can recall was turning off the main road on the way down south and it was in a small village. Not the sort of place you'd expect to find a bike shop.
