I dunno I think a bike and the TRF might be a good thrill route.

You’ve played rugby for a long time so your coordination will be good. Plus you do know how to fix a bike.

I was really shocked the fist time I saw Mr Slowly on an off road bike not that long ago.

He had almost zero experience (apart from a little bike when he was 13 that was stolen within a year and never replaced) but he shifted his weight and reacted to what was in front of him like someone who had ridden for yonks. Tbh I was a little jealous 😆

Give it a go. You might get the fix you’re after. It’s definitely good for your head.

I may well give it a go, never been anywhere near offroad on a bike, either @Sir Fallsalot or @boboneleg can you fix me up for a taster

You sound like someone who has no kids?

There's a thought......does Six have kids?

Cos unlike the rest of us he never mentions it.

I think he probably does but keeps them hidden away, like in a cage or basement

I'd bet Fred isn't far short of my weight

Hmm dunno Fred looks like a large frame with lean working muscle. You look like a large frame with dense muscle. Weight wise thats not the same thing!

Also you need to go to your local TRF thats where the fun will be!

I think Fred is more in my ballpark , I'm 87kg.

Fair enough, well if either of you could give me a taster I'd be very grateful, but if you'd rather not then I understand

I've done my time in the TRF , I was the Bristol group rep and sat on National exec meetings.  I can't ever see myself doing that again, the politics and in-fighting did my head in.

I know enough about ROW to manage by myself but for anyone new to the game then yes it's a good place to start.

You put in time and thats very cool.

I think if you’re new it’s the only easy way into it.

There are good groups and bad groups, I think Fred's group (South Wales TRF ) are pretty active but as a whole the TRF is a bit like the government .  The closer you get to the top , the more likely you are to meet the knobbers.

Am I right to think I'd need my own bike and whatnot or is like a ride/hire type of affair?
