Sir Fallsalot
Yesterday morning the temperature was 2c when i got to the meeting point and it was 2c when i left for home but due to the riding we were doing i sweated all day perfect temperature for trail riding of this kind, All the tarmac roads we used had a lot of frost and ice on them which didn't clear until mid afternoon so we were slipping about on and off road. Two cancelled so there 11 of us and We decided to go as one group which worked really well with everyone following the second man rule religiously. We had one retire about half way with a damaged shoulder and knee after he binned it going a bit fast down a steep rocky hill and another lost his bike in the a river, when he was crossing the current took his front wheel from under him as he turned down stream luckily we got it started quickly and no damage to the bike, other than that the day was incident free. All the bad weather we've had lately made it an excellent route and everyone went home happy. Just finished washing the bike i needed a shovel to clear the pavement with the amount of crap the came off it LOL. 6
