Clive
We have a castle near to us, I have never been to it, on the gate it is £19 pp entrance fee, also i have never visited Hardwick Hall, which is even closer. Last house I visited was Gunby Hall near Skeggy, not a bad entrance fee, but very lacking inside, just 3 downstairs room to look through, upstairs is out of bounds to visitors.
Six30
Xtreme had the right idea with his abandoned shit … just had to endure the midget bumming as an entrance fee . 1

They're all English Heritage which we have joint membership. Already gone over our membership fee as we joined at Osbourne house on the Isle of Wight. I envy you your history, all we have here is sticks that swing back on you and clock you upside the head.

We did Hardwick a few years back. Stopped on the way to Manchester. Over heating on the bikes and needed a cool down. That was a good stop as there's also another hall remains in the same grounds. We were National trust members then.

The copper though I was listening to music and wrote me a ticket despite me showing him they were just earplugs that were EC marked. Needless to say I’m going to appeal against the fine and I’ve got four witnesses. Anyway, it didn’t spoil the trip……..
