Renegade
Simon Thomas, MSc Performance Research Sciences & Music, Royal College of Music (2015) Answered Feb 6, 2019 U2 have been rocking with the same four original members since 1978, no breaks, no deaths. Aerosmith comes a close second with Joe Perry letting the team down by leaving from 1979–1984; they formed in 1970. Again, ZZ top would have been top, having their started current lineup since 1969, had they not had bass player issues within the first year. Arguably the Who’s original lineup - formed in 1964, only changed due to the passing of Keith Moon and John Entwistle. A similar argument could be made for the Beach Boys who have been harmonising since 1961. But for now, the headliner remains U2.
