Saul
I wanted to head off early to go to Jollys Bike Shop in Bovey Tracey this morning. But of course life is never that easy. By the time I walked the dog took number one daughter to the stables and got Shadow out of her pit we didn’t get away until 11:00. Nothing much on the way out over to Bodmin to pick up the A30 to Sourton. Cruised at 80 mph most of the way apart from a couple of jams for breakdowns, but we filtered and never actually had to stop. I am surprised how accommodating all the drivers were making room for us to filter through. Unexpected. Anyway once we got to Sourton it was time for fuel. Of course by the time I had paid she had taken residence moaning how much more comfortable my seat was. Anyway with a full tank and 25 miles to go I used Google maps for voice directions through my headset. Now let me tell you now Google was not on form today, what should have been 25 miles turned into 30 with a couple of farm tracks with foot high grass in the middle thrown in. In fact at one point it looked really dodgy. Anyway eventually we made it to Jolly’s. We had lunch there and it was lovely and actually pretty reasonable. £12 to feed both of us. I think Jolly’s main business is as a prop shop, but they have a stunning collection of bikes to. Even got a Gandalf. And a spooky ghost encounter which freaked Shadow out Much darker than the photo and she actually wanted to hold my hand, first time in years Some bikes Stunning custom’s, real quality workmanship if a bit gay according to Shadow Yet more Harleys. A Honda After we did Jolly’s which we both really liked, I headed over Dartmoor which was absolutely stunning. Never fails to impress. Next stop was Princeton with its Prison. Still a stunning town despite the HMP. Big centre for walkers , some good pubs. Been there singing a few times. After Princeton on to Tavistock, Gunnislake, Callington, Liskeard, Lostwithiel and home. Trip stats, 6.5 hours and 145 miles We did stop on Dartmoor for an ice cream and I did laugh at Shadow. She went up to order her ice cream and lost the ability to speak to the rather handsome young man serving. I had to step in as she went to pieces Of course she denied it when I told her mother when we got home. 3

It was free to get in as well, which was a bonus. The place had a real good feel, but I sort of knew it would as I follow what goes on there through their FB group. Wish there was something like it closer to home.
