If that's Orange with a blue stripe looks sort of grey in the photo then i would wire the relay like this. I'm presuming the button you press to unlock the seat grounds the coil of the solenoid not power it up that's why there are two wires with 12v on them i think

That seems logical, looks quite straightforward in your diagram  👍

Roughly wired it up, stood back...pressed the seat button!....and it worked!

Will get some spade connectors tomorrow and make up a lead to connect the mismatched plugs.

Cheers Fred.......have a virtual pint for your troubles.

Will get some spades out of my cotton fields tomorrow and make up a chain for their necks and get them to finish the job.

Cheers Fred.......have a virtual pint for your troubles.

Pete would have loved that, one forum member helping another to solve a problem ,  Even though he wouldn't have had a clue what was going on :classic_laugh:

Iam OK with mechanical things, but electrics, no.

With mechanical stuff you can see what's broke/snapped/worn out, but most electrical components unless they are burnt out look fine, that where a meter and Fred's knowledge comes into it own.

I do appreciate the help. 👍

Personally I would have used a simple op amp and done away with the relay altogether.

No point in complicating things saying that it would have been a lot easier to just buy  the correct damn relay and plug it in :classic_laugh:

I would have bought a Daelim relay if there was a dealer in the UK.

I did contact Daelim Support,  who have been helpful in the past, but they want the part number to supply a new relay, no way of finding out the part number though.

This is the sort of thing that would have made a nice thread in the workshop or motorcycle section, like on a real forum with content in which people use the internet to help each other instead of just calling themselves names, you twats!

I was thinking that myself when i had to scroll though the drivel to get to the bits Clive had posted.  if only there was someone who had their fingers on the controls to move the relevant bits to a thread of its own :classic_laugh:
