yeah the higher ups dont have a clue no matter where you are in the country, but im on the sweeper now full time so dont have to worry about what happens on the dust side, generally im left alone to do my round

Dustman are Gay now ..cant lift anything  , pick and choose what they will take.. not like the old days , as for the drivers they used to get out and muck in , just sit in the cab now  blocking the fucking road .

That is a big part of job satisfaction for me.    Best thing about my job, I know what to do and am trusted to do it.   Rarely see or speak to my boss, when I do, he  is a good guy.

im working for the same place as with the dust carts just the job on the sweeper was offered and I decided it was better than the dust carts as i now know what time i start and finish and where i am working unlike being moved around on the dust carts which i hated especially if there was a loader who didnt pull their weight

I have Wolf Titanium winter gloves, they have a double cuff, one that goes inside the jacket and one that goes over so they insulate against heat loss and water ingress.

I had some like that with a Bmw tag on them. Were quiet expensive but have been brilliant to the point I tried to get some more and they've stopped making them.
