I think it has been tightened up recently from what I can gather. My boy passed his and talked to Shadow about her test, he reckons he did worse than she did, 2 years ago. I am confident she will do better on Tuesday. Nerves had a lot to do with her failing, also she messed up a u turn and it threw her. Kids with ADHD don't deal with curve balls very well.
Saul
Well sitting outside Damerells while Shadow is doing her stuff for her CBT. At least it is dry for her. Local boys in blue having breakfast in the cafe. Might take Shadow in there post CBT if she is in the right mood.
Saul
She passed, thank fuck that is over. Took her for her victory Sausage Sammitch. The staff in the cafe gave her a cheer when she went in, good people. More than I can say about the actual Karen who did her retest, arrogant twat. I went in to collect Shadow and Karen looked at me and said: "Her road positioning could do some work, probably a bad habits she pick up from you as pillion" I said "Really" she then game me an IAM leaflet and said you would learn from them. As she was filling out Chloe's pass sheet, she then asked me when I passed my test and how many miles I did a year. I answered her (1984 and 6 to 8k a year) then said: "I'm not interested in your course with the IAM but I am surprised you didn't know that given that you assessed my riding without seeing it." I am pleased I kept my temper and and didn't tell her what I really thought. Now I, like most people, could benefit from some constructive criticism to improve my riding but I am not going to take it from some twat using the force after observing a nervous 16 year old. And yes I think I would benefit from an IAM course but I won't be doing it with that cunt. Oh I do hope I get a feedback form from Damerells. There feel better now I have that off my chest, bit disappointed that I let her rub me up the wrong way, suppose I was a bit stressed over Shadow. Just pleased Shadow has that behind her for two years. 3

True mate, I think I was rocked back on my heels a bit as Damerells has such good customer service normally, and I will admit to being a bit Hangry. 1

I was still pissed off this morning so I put in a written complaint about the Twat to the business owner. Be interested to see what comes of it. I know I shouldn't have let it get to me but I have bought 4 bikes from there in the last two years and put two kids through their CBT and shouldn't to be treated like that from a newcomer. Shadow is buzzing, just bought her some new riding gear for her birthday and stuff for college.

We have had the 'who will know' discussion several times but I'm not going to let her start her biking on the wrong foot.

But she has started College now so only available Monday or Friday. I have just bought her a set of winter riding gear, decent Jacket, waterproof over trousers, Drystar Gloves and some Gortex lined boots. I can see heated grips are going to be on the agenda to. Oh and some steel toe cap safety boots and 2 x cargo working trousers, as she wants to learn Carpentry and Roofing. Been a spendy week, one saving is that small riding gear doesn't cost as much.

Not having heated grips is just not civilised, these days Wait until she tries a heated seat!
busabeast
i found heated grips got way too warm for my liking, i much prefer just a decent pair of winter gloves but each to their own

What happens if it does wyll out on your bikes...? This about the average snowfall that we have had around here for the last few years, snow on the ground when we get up, usually thawed by mid afternoon, I think our last heavy snowfall (around here) was 2015, our winters are mostly wet and mild, with a few sub zero days thrown in.

What happens if it does wyll out on your bikes...? It occasionally drops to 0 to -3 centigrade in the winter. Commonly ride then but no colder as the roads get too slippery. I live in the far south west so prolly warmer here than most of the UK.
